As an Accounting Manager, you’ll play a central role in driving both client success and team development. You’ll be trusted to make decisions, supported by senior leadership when needed, and encouraged to think commercially as you help grow the practice. This is a role for someone ready to take ownership and be recognised for the impact they make.
What you’ll do
You’ll manage a varied portfolio of clients, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring a consistently high standard of service. Alongside this, you’ll oversee the work of your team, coordinating workflow, reviewing outputs, and supporting the delivery of deadlines.
You’ll work closely with Directors and Partners on technical matters, while proactively identifying opportunities to add value for clients and the wider firm. A key part of the role will be developing and motivating your team, providing coaching, guidance, and clear direction as they progress.
What you’ll need
• ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience managing a client portfolio within practice
• Strong people skills, with experience coaching and developing junior staff
• Commercial awareness and confidence dealing directly with clients
• The ability to balance autonomy with collaboration in a fast-paced environment
