My client is a forward-thinking, fast-growing accountancy practice based in the heart of Glasgow City Centre, and they’re looking for a Finance Administrator to join their friendly and ambitious team. This is a permanent, full-time position – ideal for someone with experience in an accountancy practice and who is passionate about delivering excellence in administrative and client support.
What You'll Be Doing – Key Responsibilities
General Administrative Support
- Act as the first point of contact for incoming calls and emails
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring timely handling
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars for the team
- Monitor and replenish office supplies, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Provide ad hoc admin support to the wider team as needed
Basic Accounting Support
- Perform accurate data entry into accounting platforms such as Xero and Sage
- Assist with processing of client invoices and staff expense reports
- Assist in preparing internal financial reports and documentation
Client Communication & Support
- Handle client queries with professionalism and a positive attitude
- Prepare and issue engagement letters, client welcome packs, and other key documents
- Liaise with clients to request required financial records and documentation
- Relay messages and updates to and from clients and accountants clearly and promptly
Record-Keeping & Compliance
- Maintain and organise both digital and physical client files
- Ensure records are compliant, accurate, and always up to date
- Support GDPR and confidentiality best practices at all times
- Assist with HMRC correspondence and filing as required

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice or similar finance environment (essential)
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks (preferred)
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive attitude and a keen eye for detail
- Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data responsibly

- Monday to Friday
- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Office-based
