Iconic Resourcing Accountancy & Finance Division are delighted to be supporting one of our key clients in their search to appoint an Accounts Assistant on a full time, permanent & hybrid basis - immediate start is also available!
Founded over 60 years ago, this organisation have been supporting their community and businesses, priding themselves on their outstanding service. As the team grows, they seek an experience Accounts Assistant who can contribute effectively to the smooth running of the accounts payable process and ensuring all treasury aspects are handled efficiently and effectively. Key areas of the role will surround:
- Generating purchase order numbers
- Processing purchase invoices and credit notes – ensuring timely approval to meet payment schedules
- Entering bank payments in system
- Managing Purchase Orders
- Managing staff expenses – obtaining proper authorisation, inputting expenses into system, and ensuring payments adhere to agreed timelines
- Processing travel expenses – weekly handling of expenses
- Maintaining petty cash ledger – recording additions and deductions
- Conducting bank reconciliations – ensuring balance matches bank statements
- Generating purchase ledger reports
- Assisting with month/year-end activities for accurate and timely account reconciliation
- Addressing and resolving supplier queries
- Processing bank payments.
To be successful in this role, the following experience is required:
- Strong experience within a similar/ AP role
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail and prioritisation skills
- Ability to work well within a fast-paced, high volume and deadline driven environment
- Ability to work autonomously, meeting all set objectives
