Iconic Resourcing Accountancy & Finance Division are delighted to be supporting our South Lanarkshire-based client in their search to appoint an experienced Accounts Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis.
Our client are a well established refurbishment contractor and also offer in specialist roofing, cladding and coatings services. With a strong reputation for providing client excellence, they have partnered with some of the UK’s largest public and private sector property and infrastructure organisations with an impressive portfolio of high profile projects.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for accounts receivables duties alongside cash & banking responsibilities and assisting with subcontractor management utilising Sage 50. Key areas of the role will include:
- Completing daily bank reconciliations for all company income & expenditure, alongside managing petty cash across all sites
- Completion of rolling cash flow model, submitting to FC for review
- Ensuring the subcontractor payments are monitored via inbox
- Process weekly, fortnightly and monthly payment runs for subcontractor applications utilising Sage 50
- Setting up & verification of subcontractors in Sage and Construct, and monitoring for subcontractor insurance expiry
- Liaising with the commercial team in resolving payment queries
- Supporting the project team in a range to tasks ahead of new system implementation (Evision)
- Monitoring of sales invoicing mailbox
- Raise applications and sales invoices via Construct, sending to client where and when necessary
- Creating new jobs via internal system
- Assist in supporting junior team members
- Adhoc duties as required
To be successful in this role, the following experience is required:
- Strong IT knowledge (Sage 50 & MS Office experience is essential for this role)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- 2-3 years’ experience within a similar role
- Ability to prioritise and organise own workload
- Excellent attention to detail skills
- Ability to manage and build relationships & work effectively with the wider team
