Accounts Payable Assistant

We’re supporting a well-established UK engineering organisation as they look to bring in an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant on an initial two-month contract, with an immediate start available.
This is a hands-on role within a busy finance team, ideal for someone who enjoys a steady workflow, is comfortable handling high volumes of invoices and can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.
The role will involve:

Processing high volumes of supplier invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently.

Matching, batching and coding invoices in line with company procedures.

Reconciling supplier statements and investigating any discrepancies.

Responding to supplier queries and building positive working relationships.

Keeping on top of a busy workload while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
What we’re looking for:

Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role is essential.

Confidence working in a high-volume invoice processing environment.

Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

A proactive, reliable approach and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Someone who can get up to speed quickly and make an immediate contribution.
