About the Opportunity
We are working with a leading UK provider of critical engineering services, supporting major organisations across sectors including infrastructure, utilities, food & drink, and highly regulated industries such as aerospace and defence.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a detail-driven Accounts Payable Senior to join their established Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to play a key role in driving process improvements.
The Role
As Accounts Payable Senior, you will take ownership of key AP processes while supporting the wider team and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing supplier invoices and credit notes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Supporting the implementation of a new ERP system, helping drive process improvements
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders across the business
- Acting as an escalation point for complex supplier queries
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Producing KPI reports, identifying risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement
- Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes
About You
- Proven experience within Accounts Payable, operating at a senior level
- Strong knowledge of invoice processing, VAT, CIS, and AP controls
- Experience producing and analysing KPIs
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Confident communicator, able to engage with suppliers and internal stakeholders
