Iconic Resourcing Accountancy & Finance Division are delighted to bring to market an exciting new vacancy with one of our high-growth and hugely successful clients based in Glasgow City Centre. Our client place a focus on the Insurance sector, having built a solid reputation in the market for almost a century which has led them to be one of the largest Insurance Broker's globally. As they continue to expand, they are now seeking a highly driven and motivated candidate for a newly created position of Assistant Finance Manager on an 18 month FTC with potential to move to a permanent role. You will be key in supporting the efficient running of a successful and busy transactional finance team, who are responsible for the collection of company trade debt and settlements to stakeholders. Key areas of the role will surround:
- Daily management of both the onshore & offshore team, ensuring their continual development, delegation of workload and assisting with escalation queries
- Ensure the accurate and efficient reporting of debtors/creditors & operational finance data to drive team performance
- Identify areas for process re-engineering, assisting in driving changes to streamline processes
- Performing regular 1:1's with team members, ensuring their support and development
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure policies, procedures and external regulations are consistently followed
- Ensure delivery against a set of key performance metrics, ensuring day to day operational delivery for the team
To be successful in this role, the following experience is required:
- Part-Qualified at finalist level is essential for this role as you will be dealing with complex escalations
- Experience of working within a fast-paced and high-volume environment (SSSC experienced would be beneficial)
- Ability to question data and seek correct outcomes
- Strong team management/supervisory experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multi-task, and manage own workload
- Strong IT literacy skills
This role is offering a base salary of up to £45,000 DOE alongside excellent benefits, a hybrid working model and the potential to move into a permanent position.
