As they continue to expand, they are now seeking a highly driven and motivated candidate for a newly created position of Assistant Finance Manager on a full-time, hybrid & permanent basis. You will be key in supporting the efficient running of the centralised management accounting team. Key areas of the role will surround:

Daily management of a team of 5 Assistant Accountants & Management Accountants, ensuring their continual development, delegation of workload and assisting with escalation queries

Manage the month-end process and ensure accurate reporting within the tight reporting deadlines
-
Review the team's monthly journals before submission

Take the lead on accounting for acquisitions, restructures, dividends etc. partnering with the Corporate Accounting team to have these recorded
-
Assist in managing the month-end reconciliations process, ensuring all reconciliations are completed accurately and to deadline
-
Participate in quality reviews of reconciliations and ensure required improvements are executed
-
Ensure SOX regulations are fully met across the team
-
Participate in the annual budgeting process, including review of regional budget files prepared by the team

Participate in the roll-out of the new accounting system, answering any queries needed and being a key point of escalation for the team regarding queries

Adhoc duties as and when required
To be successful in this role, the following experience is required:

Must be fully qualified (CA/ACCA/ ACA)

Experience of managing a team with strong managerial skills
-
Ability to manage multiple deadlines & prioritise workload
-
Pro-active in nature with the ability to adapt well to new processes
-
Ability to manage key stakeholder relationships
-
US GAAP & SOX experience would be advantageous
Offering a competitive base salary of up to £55,000 with excellent benefits & career development opportunities. This role will be primarily remote, with 1 working day per week in the office.
