Associate – Private Client (5+ PQE)
Location: Edinburgh
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + Benefits
We are delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded Scottish law firm to recruit Associates into their established and growing Private Client team based in either Edinburgh.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Private Client Solicitor looking to work within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment, advising a broad and varied client base on high-quality and often complex matters.
The Role
You will advise clients across a full spectrum of private client work, including drafting Wills, executry administration, Powers of Attorney, Guardianships, trusts and succession planning matters.
The role will also involve advising on complex and tax-paying estates, Inheritance Tax planning and reliefs including APR and BPR, trust creation and management, asset protection matters and more technical trust and executry work.
Alongside managing your own caseload independently, you will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues on larger and more complex matters, building strong client relationships and contributing to the continued success and growth of the wider team.
About You
The firm is keen to hear from Solicitors with at least 5 years’ PQE within Private Client, although candidates with varying levels of experience will also be considered.
You will be commercially aware, organised and confident managing your own workload while delivering a high standard of client care. Experience advising on complex executries, trusts and tax planning matters would be highly advantageous.
The successful candidate will also have an interest in business development, networking and supporting the continued growth of the Private Client offering.
