Are you ready to take your career in banking to new heights? We have an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Solicitor or Associate (3+ years PQE) to join their Edinburgh Banking Team. From providing strategic advice to borrowers and funders on complex national and international deals to navigating real estate finance, project finance, asset finance, and general banking matters, they handle it all.
Your Role
As a Senior Solicitor/Associate, you'll play a pivotal role in our Banking Team. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert guidance on a wide range of security documents, including Debentures, floating charges, standard securities, share pledges, guarantees, and intercreditor agreements
- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating loan agreements, including funder proformas and loan market association documents
- Offering comprehensive advice on funding transactions, credit arrangements, and security structures
- Collaborating closely with property and corporate colleagues to ensure banking and finance requirements are met in various transactions
- Assisting with referral work and others, serving as a trusted expert in Scottish banking and finance matters
- Preparing legal opinions on banking and finance issues
Candidates:
- A minimum of 3 years’ PQE in banking and finance (applications from candidates with more or less PQE will also be considered)
- Desire to actively contribute to the development of a successful and forward-thinking team
- Fully Qualified Scottish Solicitor
- Strong communicator with the ability to build good working relationships with both colleagues and clients
- Confident in working independently and running their own caseload
- Able to work with other members of the team on larger or more complex transactions
- Contribute to the financial success of the team and the firm by meeting agreed targets
