Banking and Finance Senior Solicitor / Associate

Job Overview: Iconic Resourcing is excited to present a unique opportunity for a talented Banking and Finance Solicitor to join a prestigious law firm in Scotland. This role is perfect for a Scottish-qualified solicitor with approximately 2-6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) who possesses a strong technical skill set in banking and security arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loan Agreements: Review, draft, and negotiate loan agreements, including funder proformas and those aligned with the Loan Market Association standards.
- Security Documents: Review, draft, and advise on all forms of security documents.
- General Banking Advice: Provide comprehensive banking advice to both borrowers and funders on various facilities and securities.
- Corporate Funding Documents: Draft, negotiate, and revise corporate funding documents.
- Transactional Support: Support property and corporate colleagues with banking and finance requirements for transactions.
- Referral Work: Assist with referral work from London law firms and other sources, focusing on Scots law banking and finance matters.
- Legal Opinions: Provide legal opinions on banking and finance matters.
Expertise of the Team: The team is renowned for providing expert advice to both borrowers and funders on transactions involving Scotland, England & Wales, and international aspects. The scope of work includes:
- Institutional and Corporate Clients: Acting for institutional funders, investors, corporate groups, property developers, and more in areas such as real estate finance, project finance, asset finance, secured lending, and general banking.
- Funding Transactions: Advising on various types of funding transactions, including secured and unsecured debt, funding structures, syndicated and bilateral lending, and security restructures.
- Notable Clients: The firm represents prestigious clients such as one of Scotland largest land owners, a leading hotel chain, landed estate, a leading retailer, Transport business, to a leading private equity company to highlight a few.
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will be a Scottish-qualified solicitor with 2-6 years PQE and will exhibit the following qualities:
