Billing Analyst

This firm is seeking a Billing Analyst to join its UK-based Working Capital team on a 12 month contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment within a forward-thinking organisation.

The Billing Analyst will play a critical role in managing the billing lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of invoices while supporting the team during critical end-of-month periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process draft and final invoices, including supporting documentation such as detailed time summaries and disbursement schedules.
- Manage bill cancellations, credit notes, and monthly bill runs for specific clients with complex requirements.
- Collaborate with partners and associates to resolve unbilled or billed fee inquiries.
- Conduct time edits, transfers, or write-offs for work-in-progress (WIP) as required.
- Maintain client and matter records, including addresses, currency, and purchase order details.
- Provide guidance on VAT treatment and ensure compliance with VAT and Solicitor Account Rules on all bills raised.
- Support global billing tasks for other finance teams and ensure alignment with global processes.
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of client needs and the ability to provide tailored solutions.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including a confident telephone manner.
- A proven ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt as required.
- Prior experience in a law firm or partnership environment is highly desirable.
