We’re delighted to be partnering with ValueAdd Business Solutions, a dynamic and growing support services provider, to recruit a part-time Bookkeeper to join their expert team.

About the Role
- Part-time: 15 hours per week, ideally over 4–5 half days (flexible – perfect for school runs or other commitments)
- True Flexibility - You’ll have complete control over your hours, with no core times enforced.
- Fully remote, with the occasional client site visit if required
- Salary: £25,000–£30,000 pro rata (negotiable for the right candidate)
- Gradual onboarding: start by supporting the team and then take ownership of your own client portfolio
The Task at Hand
You’ll be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients, building lasting relationships, and delivering a high standard of bookkeeping support. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Reconciling accounts
- Managing both sales and purchase ledgers
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Taking records to trial balance stage
- Assisting with management accounts
- Contributing to year-end accounts preparation
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years’ bookkeeping experience (practice background a plus, but not essential)
- Confident working independently, asking the right questions, and managing your own time
- Eager to learn and grow — qualifications not essential, but attitude is everything!
- Familiarity with cloud-based accounting tools and remote working practices
