Glenrothes (hybrid)
£44,000 plus benefits
Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be partnering with a leading organisation within the social housing sector as they continue to build the foundations for an ambitious programme of business and digital transformation. We're looking for a Business Analyst to join the team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, supporting a major piece of work focused on understanding and improving processes across the organisation.
This could be a great opportunity for an experienced BA, but we're also keen to speak with people from project coordination, business improvement, change or operational backgrounds who have the right skills and mindset.
You'll be involved in a programme of process mapping across key areas of the organisation, working with different teams and stakeholders to understand their day-to-day operations. You'll spend a lot of time talking to people, asking questions, challenging assumptions and getting underneath the detail. You'll then turn what you learn into clear documentation and process maps that can be used to identify opportunities for improvement.
The project is evolving, so you'll need to be comfortable working in an environment where the scope may develop as the work progresses.
What you'll be doing
- Engaging with stakeholders across the organisation to understand current processes
- Auditing and reviewing how processes work in practice
- Conducting interviews, workshops and discussions with a wide range of stakeholders
- Identifying gaps, inefficiencies, risks and areas for improvement
- Documenting current processes, issues and findings
- Developing clear process documentation and, as the project progresses, process maps
- Building strong relationships with teams across the organisation
- Bringing structure and clarity to complex information
- Challenging constructively and asking the questions others might not
- Supporting wider business improvement and change activity as required
You might be an experienced Business Analyst, but equally you could come from:
- Business improvement
- Change management
- Project coordination
- Project delivery
- Operational management
- Process improvement
- A similar analytical or transformation focused role
We're looking for someone who:
- Is naturally curious and enjoys understanding how things work
- Can build relationships with a wide range of people
- Is confident speaking to stakeholders at different levels
- Can ask the right questions and challenge constructively
- Has strong documentation and organisational skills
- Can identify problems rather than simply documenting what they're told
- Is comfortable working in a changing environment
- Can turn complex conversations and information into something clear and structured
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience within social housing, housing associations, local authorities or the third sector would be highly advantageous.
