Business Analyst - Perm - Fife

Business Analyst

Permanent and Full Time

Glenrothes (hybrid)

£44,000 plus benefits

Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be partnering with a leading organisation within the social housing sector as they continue to invest heavily in their digital transformation strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to join a growing Digital team at an important stage in its transformation journey.

You'll sit at the heart of projects that bring together people, processes, systems and technology, acting as the translator between technical teams and the wider business. You'll need to be comfortable getting into the detail of systems and requirements, while also being able to step back and understand the bigger business picture.

The role

This is a varied BA position where you'll work across a number of digital and business improvement projects. You'll be responsible for understanding business problems, gathering and analysing requirements and helping teams identify the right solutions. You'll work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is aligned on what needs to change and why.

Projects could include looking at how services such as repairs are delivered, exploring opportunities to introduce more self-service through a new website, and supporting wider digital transformation initiatives. You'll also have the opportunity to take on elements of project management and delivery, so we're looking for someone who is adaptable and happy to get involved wherever they're needed.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading requirements gathering and analysis across digital and business change projects

  • Working with stakeholders to understand business needs, problems and opportunities

  • Translating business requirements into clear technical requirements

  • Mapping and improving processes

  • Working closely with technical teams, product owners and wider business stakeholders

  • Supporting system implementations, upgrades and integrations

  • Analysing information and data to help inform business decisions

  • Challenging assumptions and helping identify the root cause of problems

  • Supporting project planning and delivery where required

  • Communicating complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

We're keen to hear from experienced candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Strong experience working as a Business Analyst within digital, technology or business change environments

  • Experience working with core business systems

  • Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills

  • Experience of working with technical teams and translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Strong process analysis and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • The confidence to work with a diverse range of stakeholders and challenge constructively

  • A flexible approach and willingness to get involved beyond traditional BA responsibilities

Experience within social housing, housing associations, local authorities or the wider third sector would be highly advantageous. We're particularly interested in people who understand that this is a values-led environment where budgets, resources and customer outcomes all need to be carefully balanced.

At Iconic Resourcing, we understand that not all candidates will meet every single desired qualification or skill for the job positions posted on behalf of our clients. However, if you believe that you can add value to the role despite your experience looking a little different from what we've identified, we would be thrilled to learn more about you.

Iconic Resourcing are committed to partnering with clients who share our values of inclusivity and diversity. We work with many businesses that recognise the importance of creating a welcoming and respectful workplace for all employees. As an equal opportunities employer, we treat all applicants fairly and equally. We act as both an employment business and an employment agency and are happy to accommodate any reasonable adjustments required.
