What’s the Opportunity?
Iconic Resourcing presents a fantastic opportunity for a Capital Allowances Manager to join a successful Tax function within one of the Big 4 Accountancy Practices.
You will be working as part of a dynamic and successful team covering a wide range of organizations and individuals that incur significant expenditure on acquiring and constructing assets.
The team consists of chartered surveyors and tax and accounting specialists, many of which are dual qualified.
You should be prepared for some travel requirements in this role.
How will you fit?
In order to take on this role, you will:
- Have a strong academic background including a degree or equivalent
- Be ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified or equivalent professional qualification
- Possibly already be working in a professional services background with experience within tax or alternatively a qualified accountant with a background in audit looking to develop your career within tax
- Take personal responsibility and accountability for own work
- Show enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work
- Continuously learn from experiences
- Work in a cooperative, respectful manner with colleagues, clients and the wider community
- Analyze problems, identify core issues, investigate, evaluate and integrate information
- Communicate with impact, in a way that is open, honest, consistent and clear
You’ll add value to the team by:
- Being a market-facing individual within your respective region, responsible for building internal and external relationships in order to win FATS projects and drive sales growth both independently and as part of the regional market team
- Being actively involved in delivering ad-hoc advisory work such as entitlement reviews or transaction input as well as standard projects in balance with market role
- Being a technical expert that can be relied on to present updates at regional seminars and be available to answer ad-hoc queries from internal teams
- Being responsible for managing client relationships and overseeing delivery by the projects team. This will include active management of finances and risk on all projects as a dedicated Engagement Manager
- Being
- accountable for managing local junior grades within the Hub in terms of any work-related or pastoral issues, as well as taking on performance management responsibilities where required
- Being a team player who not only contributes to the regional business but also plays an active role in national FATS initiatives
