Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be supporting our International client to recruit a new Corporate Tax Manager position that will work with an existing UK Tax team, based in Glasgow. The role will be offered on a hybrid basis with excellent flexible working to support a healthy 'work life balance'.
As part of the UK Tax team, you will support all areas of the business in Direct Taxation and you will have key responsibility for UK corporation tax compliance, reporting and advisory, as well as provide key support to projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the tax compliance process, review of computations and returns, with accurate submission to HMRC
- Ensure quarterly tax payments are made to HMRC to agreed timescales
- Manage the UK corporation tax provision for UK GAAP statutory accounts
- Prepare US GAAP quarterly reporting packs
- Prepare corporation tax balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure SOX requirements are fully met
- Project work, including acquisition due diligence, restructuring and financing
- Stakeholder management and relationships - internally with key senior finance directors, tax director, audit teams and statutory tax team. Externally, manage and build relationship with HMRC, Auditors, external consultancies etc.
- Manage a small team, allocate appropriate work to team members. Play active role in continued training and development of tax staff.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving tax team, that has an enviable balance of technical tax work, relationship and stakeholder management, projects and process improvements, whilst also being able to develop your own technical skills but developing junior members of the team also.
You will be able to demonstrate a strong technical corporation tax skill set, ideally with good understanding of both UK and US GAAP. Additionally, a natural flair for systems and analysis would be advantageous.
