The Credit Control Manager will oversee and support the Glasgow credit control team to consistently meet collection and aged debt targets, focusing on reducing debtor days, while actively engaging with key stakeholders to achieve the firm's financial goals. Key duties:
- Manage the team's Debtor portfolio, ensuring timely invoice collection.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce Debtor days and ageing.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders and teams to review and monitor Debtor balances.
- Provide data-driven reports and forecasts on Debtor status and potential risks to senior leadership.
- Develop processes and systems to improve efficiencies and client experience.
- Ensure internal controls are in place and effective.
- Work with the Global Credit Control Manager to establish and manage service level agreements.
- Identify and mitigate bad debt risks with the Credit Control team, setting appropriate provisions.
- Develop team skills to meet KPIs with SMART goals and development plans.
- Support transformation projects with SME expertise.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, addressing feedback and performance issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with global contacts.
- Address inquiries and special projects from management diligently and timely.
- Report comprehensively on objectives and responsibilities to management.
- Monitor market trends and best practices to maintain a leading credit control offering and strong recruitment brand.
- Promote diversity within the team and contribute to meeting the diversity targets through local initiatives.
- Perform any additional duties or projects as required by the Global Credit Control Manager.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies in all activities.
To be successful in this role, the following experience is required:
- Strong experience in credit control management experience, preferably in legal or professional services.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing credit control policies and procedures.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a team.
- Proactive and self-motivated work ethic.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong global commercial awareness and client understanding.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
