Iconic Resourcing Accountancy & Finance Division are delighted to be supporting a highly successful business in the Glasgow area who are seeking to appoint an experienced Finance Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis. This role will be primarily office-based throughout the 3 month training period, where flexibility will then move to a hybrid working model.
This organisation hold a demonstrated history of service delivery across the public, private, and voluntary sectors, not only offering communication support services but also possessing expertise in collaborating with health boards, local authorities, and other organisations to assess local needs and implement and deliver services. With continued growth, this newly created Credit Controller position will place focus on the following areas:

Monitor and assess customer accounts to uphold adherence to company payment terms

Ensure timely retrieval of outstanding charges
-
Employ proactive collection techniques to reduce aged debt
-
Conduct polite & professional correspondence with customers via phone, letter, email, and video call
-
Maintain precise records of all credit control activities
-
Hold regular meetings with account managers to address any concerns
-
Foster collaboration with other departments to achieve targets
-
Handle accounts receivables, including issuing invoices and updating invoice information.
Additional Responsibilities:

Provide support to the finance team as needed
-
Assist with account payable tasks
-
Conduct bank reconciliations
-
Allocate and record payments accurately
-
Reconcile credit card transactions
-
Manage staff expenses
-
Assist with procurement activities.
To be successful in this role, the following experience is required:

Strong experience of high volume credit controller role
-
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
-
Ability to work well within a fast-paced and high-volume environment
-
Ability to prioritise own workload
-
Strong organisational skills
-
Self-motivated, driven and good at multi-tasking

Have an eye for detail with a high level of accuracy and efficiency in your work

Be flexible with growth opportunities and responsibility opportunities

Knowledge and experience using financial software
