Iconic Resourcing Accountancy & Finance Division have partnered with our well-established client in Glasgow City Centre as they seek to appoint an experienced Credit Controller within their centralised Finance team on a full-time, permanent and hybrid working basis.
Our client have experienced great levels of growth in recent years, becoming a market leader in their specialism. The Credit Controller position will report directly into the Credit Control Manager, where the successful candidate will be responsible for their own portfolio of clients, ensuring ownership for the entire credit control lifecycle. Key duties will include:
- Take control of the full credit control cycle for a large portfolio of clients
- Working towards cash collection targets in the effort to reduce outstanding debt exposure to the Group
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing and matching of daily cash receipts
- Investigate any unallocated cash receipts, ensuring quick resolutions
- Identify upcoming problem accounts and recommending these either be escalated to legal or placed on stop
- Compile weekly debt repots alongside month end reporting activities
- Prepare journal entries and accounts receivable write-offs
- Reconciliation of customer accounts
To be successful in this role, the following experience is required:
- Minimum of 18 months - 2 years' experience within a Credit Control position
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to work well within a fast-paced and high-volume environment
- Strong IT literacy skills
- Ability to manage own workload
