Iconic Resourcing Accountancy & Finance Division are delighted to bring to market an exciting Credit Controller & Account Handler vacancy with a highly successful professional services organisation in Glasgow City Centre. with a rich history spanning over 100 years, this organisation have developed a solid reputation with the market, becoming a world leader in their specialism.
Reporting into the Finance Manager, the role of Credit Controller & Account Handler will ensure the timely collection of outstanding funds owed, whilst ensuring key customers & accounts are serviced professionally. Key areas of the role will include:
- Liaise with external stakeholders, ensuring their accounts are reconciled in a timeously manner and correct funds are allocated to the accounts
- Working with a high value ledger and high volume portfolio of clients, negotiating payment plans and working to actively reduce aged debt
- Ensure the correct reconciliation and settlement of the ledger balances
- Ensure that any unallocated cash is investigated and resolved with an appropriate outcome
- Be on hand to deal with any queries pulling through from the allocated client portfolio, investigating any discrepancies and ensuring a positive outcome
- Contributing to process improvements & helping to streamline processes across the team/ department
- Follow all company policies and procedures, and ensure the key stakeholders are consistently kept up to date as to the status of their accounts
To be successful in this role, the following experience is required:
- Strong experience within a collections/ credit control role
- Ability to manage your own portfolio of clients, ensuring a professional service is maintained
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Methodical and analytical approach
- Highly numerate
- Ability to work well within a fast-paced and high volume environment
