Cyber Security Analyst
Glasgow (hybrid working)
Full time & Permanent
Up to £35,000
Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be partnering, once again, with a well-established professional services organisation with a global footprint to appoint a Cyber Security Analyst into their growing IT function. This is an excellent opportunity for a cyber security professional who enjoys working across monitoring, incident response and risk management, and who is keen to develop their expertise within a collaborative, business-facing environment.
As a Cyber Security Analyst, you’ll play a key role in protecting systems, data and services across a multi-site, international organisation. You’ll work closely with IT and wider business stakeholders to strengthen security monitoring, respond to incidents, and continuously improve the organisation’s overall security posture.
The role offers a strong balance of hands-on technical work and broader security improvement initiatives, making it ideal for someone looking to deepen their experience in a professional services setting.
The role:
-
Monitoring security alerts and events to identify and respond to potential threats
-
Supporting and contributing to incident response and investigation activities
-
Helping to identify vulnerabilities and track remediation actions
-
Contributing to the development and improvement of security policies, processes and controls
-
Supporting audit, compliance and risk management activities
-
Working with colleagues across the business to promote security awareness and best practice
-
Assessing new tools and approaches to enhance cyber security capabilities
What we are looking for:
-
Experience working in a cyber security or security operations role
-
A working understanding of modern cyber threats, security monitoring and incident response
-
Exposure to cloud-based security environments, ideally within Microsoft ecosystems
-
Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently
-
A proactive, curious mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
-
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
You’ll be joining an organisation that takes cyber security seriously and is committed to investing in its people, systems and capabilities. The role offers genuine scope for development, exposure to a broad range of security challenges, and the chance to make a visible impact within a global business
