Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be working in partnership with a hugely successful and well established organisation in Glasgow City Centre as they seek a Data Analyst on a full-time, perm and hybrid basis.
This organisation continue to dominate in their field, carving themselves out as a true market leader. With continued growth and success, this role will will sit within their Glasgow Head Offices, playing a key bridge between the supply chain and commercial functions. Key areas of the role will surround:

Coordinate commercial teams' forecast submissions within a defined region

Analyse historical data and market insights to validate and generate a demand forecast
-
Maintain and own the demand forecast to guide production and purchasing
-
Continuously improve the forecast by refining historical data, capturing promotions and seasonality, and adjusting the forecasting model

Provide demand insights for new product implementations and complete related project tasks
-
Measure and report forecast performance
-
Assist in creating and implementing tools and systems to enhance forecast accuracy
-
Collaborate with the supply planning team to ensure stock availability
-
Establish consistent communication with customers and commercial contacts alongside the customer operations team
-
Identify and address supply risks proactively
-
Apply a continuous improvement approach to evaluate misses and implement preventative measures
-
Assist with regional demand reviews by preparing meeting materials and coordinating sessions
-
Analyse variances between forecasts and actual sales, financial volume forecasts, and previous consensus forecasts

Prepare and present slides for monthly forums

Maintain a collaborative relationship with commercial teams to gain market insights and promotional plans

Act as the main supply chain contact for the commercial team up to the Area Director level
-
Identify and lead innovative process improvement opportunities with minimal support

Assist with ad-hoc tasks and data analysis for actionable insights

Support and lead projects as needed

Conduct weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reporting as required
To be successful in this role, the following experience is essential:

Strong experience within a data analysis role
-
Excellent analytical and attention to detail skills
-
Articulate with the ability to develop rapport with key stakeholders within the business

Strong IT literacy (experience across packages such as Azure, Python, Power BI)

Hold a degree in a challenging and thought-provoking discipline such as social sciences, engineering, or a related field
-
Excellent critical thinking skills
