The role of the Development Manager will be to lead on growth opportunities. You will research and seek out opportunities for expanding services for left behind groups, perhaps through deprivation or poverty, and ensure more people across the country receive the support they need.
The Development Manager will work closely with local government partners (National Lottery and similar) to develop and/ or respond to opportunities that positively impact on the lives of individuals in need of support. You will actively research and contribute to bids and tender process, support cross organisational teamwork to advance new business in emerging markets.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the current delivery landscape and market focus across our key sectors of interest. To provide insight into development and competitive positioning to expand the organisations sphere of influence.
- Lead and contribute to plans that will help develop and expand the reach for current and comparable service delivery solutions into new communities across Scotland and England.
- Develop and sustain positive and effective relationships with company stakeholders plus current/new public and third sector partners.
- Collaborating with Directors and colleagues to determine the most viable, cost-effective approach to pursue new business opportunities.
- Researching the range of evidence requirements that produce compelling content for tenders and proposals which offer compelling solutions linked to our ambitions and aims.
What are we looking for from you?
- Proven experience working in a development capacity ideally within the social economy
- Clear and in-depth understanding of public and third sector funding streams
- Exposure of third sector tendering and development
