Do you have month end accounting and reporting experience? Would you like to work for a well established, family owned business with a clear strategy for future growth? Iconic Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Divisional Accountant to be based with our client in Fife.
The Role
This is excellent opportunity for candidates who are currently in a similar role, who are looking for an exciting new challenge with a great team and company. The successful candidate will work in the finance team reporting to the Financial Controller and Group Financial Accountant, providing financial and accounting support to the Divisional Managers, with a focus on developing and improving processes. We are seeking a candidate with commercial experience and exposure to supporting with contracts and financial modelling.
The Duties & Responsibilities
- Working closely with the senior management team to produce accurate monthly management accounts, reports and analysis for the division
- Acting as primary point of contact for key customers for financial and commercial matters
- Ensuring project costs are accurately maintained through the general ledger and contract costing modules, liaising with operational management as required
- Generating accurate sales invoices in a timely manner for the contracts
- Approving all divisional purchasing and associated coding
- Preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasting as required
- Participating in the annual audit process
- Assist with tender costing & bid proposals preparation when required
- Provide assistance to the Group Financial Accountant for group accounting tasks as required
- Developing and maintaining a high level of understanding of all commercial areas of the contracts
Skills & Experience Required
- Accountancy qualification (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA)
- Previous experience within a similar role in management accounting
- Experience with working on bids, contracts or financial modelling
- Excellent time management skills
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
- Self motivation and excellent interpersonal skills
- Advanced analytical skills
