Senior Associate Solicitor - Employment

Iconic Resourcing is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate or Senior Associate with a blend of contentious and non-contentious employment law experience to join and lead this firms employment team in Glasgow. This role is ideal for a solicitor with a minimum of 5+ years post-qualifying experience (PQE) which offers a unique opportunity to shape and drive the department as part of a succession planning strategy.

What to Expect in This Role:
The successful candidate will:
- Provide comprehensive day-to-day employment advice covering the full range of employment law.
- Focus on contentious matters, representing both employers and employees in Employment Tribunals throughout Scotland and England on cases such as unfair and wrongful dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, breach of contract, assertion of a statutory right, and employment status.
- Handle non-contentious matters, including employment contracts and settlement agreements.
- Provide training to employers of various sizes on HR, employment, and discrimination matters.
- Work with a collaborative and friendly team in a highly supportive firm.

- Engage in business development activities and build client connections.
Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise:
- Scottish Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE
- Experience gained within a comparable environment and at an appropriate level.
- Solid technical understanding of employment law, excellent drafting and communication skills, and a commercial and practical approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work under deadlines in a busy environment and to support and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
