About the Role
You’ll be stepping into a key role in a thriving team of legal professionals specialising in family law. This is a unique opportunity to develop your career in a dynamic, client-focused environment that values integrity, professionalism and collaboration.
With a strong pipeline of work and a respected reputation across the sector, the department is looking for someone who can independently manage a varied caseload – including complex financial provision and high net worth cases – while playing an active part in the team’s continued growth and success.
What We’re Looking For:
- Be a qualified solicitor with around 5+ years’ post-qualifying experience in family law.
- Have a solid working knowledge of Sheriff Court procedures (Court of Session experience is a bonus).
- Be confident handling financial provision and complex family law matters with minimal supervision.
- Be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and a client-first mindset.
- Ideally hold (or be willing to pursue) accreditation as a specialist in family law.
- Be proactive, enthusiastic and personable – someone who builds rapport easily and contributes positively to the wider team.
Why Join Us?
- A competitive salary at the upper end of the market, with bonus potential based on performance.
- Flexible and hybrid working options to support work-life balance.
- Clear opportunities for career progression and partnership potential for the right candidate.
- A supportive and collegiate team culture in a respected, boutique legal practice.
- Central Edinburgh location with modern offices and excellent support infrastructure.
