Iconic Resourcing are delighted to bring to market a fantastic new long term Contract position for a Finance Accounting Manager to be based in Glasgow. The role will initially be for 12 month, but may have an option to be extended/conversion to permanent.
Our client is a hugely successful manufacturing business and currently requires an experienced Accountant with people management (direct or indirect management), who will manage an mixed team of qualified, part qualified and trainee accountants with a key focus on Divisional Accounting and Reporting for multiple entities.
The role requires excellent communication skills, will work with key stakeholders and business unit leaders, therefore the development of key relationships is pivotal in the success of the role. Additionally, the role has a split of managing the accounting/reporting process 50% and projects (business process improvement, automation and efficiency improvements) 50%.
Business as usual responsibilities:
- Manage the accounting operations team for the delivery of monthly, quarterly and final year reporting
- Ensure monthly USGAAP reporting
- Manage, mentor and develop the team, highlighting progressive and development opportunities for the team
- Business partnering with various business functions across the business (finance and non-finance)
- Encourage a culture of motivation to work and deliver in a fast paced environment
- Project SME for various initiatives across the finance division
- Foster a positive culture for business process improvement across your team
The role reports to a Senior Manager/Controller for the Division with entities across UK and EMEA and will have good support from an experienced peer group.
Ideally, you will be qualified (ACCA, CIMA or CA), however qualified by experience candidates maybe considered, provided they can demonstrate strong/direct people management experience, ideally within a large company.
