Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be partnering with our client, a leading UK Legal firm to recruit an experienced Finance & Operations Manager to join an established and performing team as the business continues to enjoy a successful period of growth.
The role reports directly to the Financial Controller, and will have direct management of a qualified Accountant and Credit Manager, whilst also overseeing the financial operations for Payables, Receivables and Banking. There is a key emphasis on delivering strategic leadership and direction of the financial operations team , maintain financial stability and support the company's growth objectives through effective financial management.
Key responsibilities in the role are:
- Management of Treasury Accountant and Credit Manager
- Update and analyse cash flow forecasts
- Management of key external relationships i.e., Bank, Investors, Tax Advisors etc.
- Review the client deposit schedule
- Work with FP&A Manager on delivery of annual audit
- Reviewing Partner finance accounting requirements including capital requirements and profit share distribution
- Production and submission of external payment practices report
- Bank Signatory
- Weekly debt review with Credit Manager - managing bad debt provision
- Meet with WIP Partner and Financial Controller regularly to report on debt review
- Various ongoing financial process improvement initiatives
- Lead on key financial projects e.g., financial system, operating model improvements etc
Ideally, you will be a qualified Accountant, however consideration will be given to similar experience from within a professional services or consultancy organisation. From an accounting perspective, it would be advantageous to have gained well-rounded experience i.e. management, financial and statutory accounts/reporting, with some tax exposure. You will also be able to demonstrate excellent communication and time-management skills, as well as strong analytical skills, particularly MS Excel (Pivots/Lookups). Additionally, you will have experience of managing a small team.
