Iconic Resourcing Accountancy & Finance Division are delighted to be supporting one of Scotland's top Legal firms as they seek to appoint a Finance Assistant on a full-time, hybrid and permanent basis from their buzzing and collaborative central Glasgow offices.
As one of Scotland's oldest and most successful legal firms, our client continue to move from strength to strength, firmly cementing themselves a firm of choice amongst the legal profession. Well-known throughout the market for their modern, inclusive approach, they have won multiple awards along the way. With continued growth and success, they seek an experienced Finance Assistant to be based in their well-established centralised finance team, where the successful candidate will be responsible for ownership of the full cash & banking duties, assisting with client payments and liaising with other finance functions to ensure a smooth running process. Key areas of the role will surround:
- Handling client payments; prepare client fee notes, draft letters to clients to ensure accurate deductions, record client payments in the ledger and transfer daily payments to client bank accounts
- Banking responsibilities; record insurance premiums, ensure prompt posting of bank credits to the correct client ledgers, calculate client fees and process outlays for payment
- Bank reconciliation tasks; verify accuracy of bank credits and debits, generate daily reports on unallocated cash
- Administration and Ledger Reconciliation; maintain matter balances by tracking missing invoices and updating the ledger
- Record insurance premiums and produce matter-related balance reports for review by the legal cashier using Excel
- Manage various mailboxes, promptly addressing queries and collaborating with Fee Earners
- Adhoc duties as required

Strong MS Excel experience - knowledge in VLOOK-UPS & pivot tables is essential
