Iconic Resourcing Accountancy & Finance Division are delighted to bring to market an exciting Finance Assistant role with one of our key clients in Glasgow on a full-time, permanent & hybrid working basis.
Our client are a highly successful operator within the Financial Services sector, with over 15 years of helping businesses grow through sound financial backing and buy-out. Reporting directly into the Partner and Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the purchase ledger, sales ledger and cash & banking functions. Key areas of the role will surround:
- Import all sales invoices processed to appropriate sales ledger client account, ensuring all VAT appropriately charged
- Process all receipts into SAGE 50, matching to appropriate sales invoices outstanding
- Ensure all VAT is appropriately and accurately recorded
- Preparing the VAT reports and sending to HMRC and ensuring all payments/receipts are processed in accordance with agreed payment terms
- Processing supplier invoices and reviewing open POs, following up with other departments as required
- Posting bank transactions as well as credit card / expense receipts
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Posting bank statements accurately and to deadline
To be successful in this role, the following experience is required:
- Minimum 3 years' experience within a similar role
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage own workload, as well as prioritising workload to meet differing deadlines
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Highly motivated, driven and determined
- Excellent IT literacy skills - SAGE 50 experience would be advantageous
- Ability to work within a small, close-knit team and assisting with adhoc duties as and when required
This role offers a competitive base salary of up to £26,000 + excellent benefits, hybrid working, and the opportunity to grow and develop.
