Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be partnering with a manufacturing business based near Beith in North Ayrshire in their search for a Company Accountant / Finance Manager. Our client is seeking an all-rounded accountant who is either fully qualified or QBE, ideally with experience in an SME. The role will be responsible for two members of staff and will be based on site with a real variety in responsibilities, with overall oversight of the finance function of the company. There is a clear progression plan to FD level for the right candidate.

On offer is a salary of up to £55,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation and analysis of financial processes such as balance sheets, income statements, profit and loss statements, budgets, and cash flow statements.
- Execute month-end and year-end financial close procedures, providing reports to senior management.
- Leadership of two direct reports.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Review bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Manage the company payroll.
- Support the implementation of a new ERP system
- Assist external accountants by supplying required data for statutory account completion, ensuring compliance with statutory returns and taxation obligations.
- Ad-hoc responsibilities.
Previous Experience
The successful candidate will likely be a fully qualified or qualified by experience accountant, ideally with some experience in a similar role in an SME. The role will be very hands on with a real variety in responsibilities, so the successful candidate will likely have experience in a similar position. This role would suit candidates with the ambition to develop to Finance Director level, as the current FD will retire in the not-too-distant future.
