Providing commercial finance insights to enable a high-growth Consultancy
We are seeking a commercially astute Fractional Finance Director / CFO to partner with the leadership team and drive better decision-making through insight-led finance.
This is not a traditional reporting role. We are looking for a forward-looking finance leader who thrives in commercial finance, can translate numbers into strategy and helps shape growth.
The Opportunity
You will act as a trusted commercial partner to the founders, supporting planning, performance tracking and strategic decision-making as the business continues to scale.
This role suits someone who enjoys working closely with entrepreneurial teams and influencing outcomes beyond the numbers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) including budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling
- Build and refine KPI frameworks and dashboards to track performance
- Provide commercial insight to support pricing, margins and growth initiatives
- Partner with leadership to evaluate new opportunities, investments and risks
- Improve visibility over cash flow, profitability and unit economics
- Translate financial data into clear, actionable recommendations
- Support board-level reporting and strategic planning
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience as an FD or CFO ideally in a construction environment
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to challenge and influence
- Advanced modelling and analytical skills
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on, fractional capacity
- Experience working with SMEs, founder-led businesses, or scaling environments is highly desirable
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts with clarity
