Iconic Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Senior Management Accountant to be based with our legal client on a hybrid basis in Glasgow City Centre. This role is offered on an 18 month basis.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are currently in a similar role, who are looking for an exciting new challenge with a great team and company. The successful candidate will work in the finance team reporting to the Senior Group Accounting Manager. The role will work as part of a key member the group accounting team to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of group accounts and other management and statutory financial information, with a focus on process improvement and ensuring that appropriate controls and reconciliations are in place and maintained.
The Duties & Responsibilities

With assistance from the Management Accountants, manage the monthly WIP valuation process by collating specific valuation information on a monthly basis, and manage the monthly reporting of income numbers.

Monthly review of the management accounts for the Asian offices and provide support to the local finance teams. Reviewing submitted balance sheet reconciliations for these offices and challenging where required.

Review the Business Development and Brand, Marketing & Comms business services functions results on a monthly basis to ensure FTE and costs are being reported correctly, and manage the monthly reporting for these areas.

Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, with key responsibilities being WIP and profit and loss clearing accounts.

Year end audit and statutory reporting responsibilities.
Skills & Experience Required
- Accountancy qualification (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA)
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Good understanding of UK GAAP and statutory reporting
- Excellent time management skills
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
- Self motivation and excellent interpersonal skills
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and make sense of large volumes of data
