Iconic Resourcing are excited to be working in partnership with our client, a growing and innovative technology solutions specialist, to recruit a Group Financial Controller which is central in supporting the business whilst it continues to undergo a sustained period of high-growth globally.
Reporting to the CFO, this role will form part of an inventive senior management team, based at Head Office in Glasgow. You will be ambitious, with a growth mindset that will add value to the management team, whilst being able to constructively challenge the status quo.
The role will be responsible for leading, organising, motivating and developing a finance team of 12 for an international business that manages high volume transactions in a process improvement environment. You will demonstrate the technical ability to manage monthly/annual reporting to the board, audit management and develop and up skill the finance team
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Manage the process for production of management accounts for 22 reporting entities and consolidated results, providing reliable financial information to the business
- Drive best practice in financial and internal control
- Delivery of all statutory reporting and liaison with external auditors
- Technical understanding of UKGAAP, USGAAP, IFRS
- Lead and drive system, process and control efficiencies whilst managing change
- Lead of finance operating process improvements for Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Sales/Payments and VAT Returns
- Oversight of multi-jurisdictional payroll process
- Develop the finance team into an effective business partnering service
- Support the CFO on key finance projects and initiatives
The business is forecast for continued growth and with this, the role with expand further, additionally there is the expectation to recruit further across the finance function.
This is an exciting time to be joining the business as this role will offer excellent exposure to key Group wide initiatives. There is significant growth forecast over the next 2-3 years, new acquisitions, new locations and infrastructure projects. The role is going to grow with requirement to recruit within this team, but equally the opportunity to grow in the business and take on more responsibility within the senior leadership of the business.
You will be at least 4 years PQE, with ideally some experience of a blue chip organisation. You will be able to demonstrate effective people skills, with experience of leading, motivating, coaching and developing finance teams. Additionally, a strong technical understanding of UK/US GAAP and IFRS with a good grasp of accounting policy developments. Financial systems implementation will be advantageous, with a mindset to improvement financial processes.
