As a key member of the executive team, the Group Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of the organisation. Working closely with their esteemed directors, you will spearhead the development and implementation of robust financial strategies to drive our continued success and expansion.
In this position, you will assume ownership and development of the group wide finance function, which will include the development and enhancement of group reporting, management reporting, tax and FP&A.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee internal reporting, controls and to ensure robust governance and compliance processes are in place.
- Implement and maintain agile internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards for all countries and jurisdictions we operate in.
- Day to day relationships with lenders, potential investors, to be able to provide key up to date financial information and forecasts.
- Develop and implement a full financial planning, budgeting and forecasting process, through excellent communication with the owners, Directors and Executive Team.
- Provide strategic insights that enhance financial performance and allow agile decision making.
- Provide clear financial analysis that include investment appraisals, pricing and cost analysis.
- Strategy – work closely with the owner, MD and Executive team on new initiatives, industry challenges/risks, institutional investors, whisky investments etc.
- Manage and improve supplier relationships.
- Assess and address financial risks and champion a culture of risk-aware innovation.
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends, regulations and new technologies to can become part of future financial strategy.

You will be an excellent communicator and be able to demonstrate a successful and proactive communication style at Board level, senior executive teams and stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally.
You will be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), and have operated successfully in a financial leadership role, ideally within a growing business that moves at pace. Additionally, strong commercial acumen and extensive background in budgeting and forecasting will be essential.
As Teaghlach Holdings operate globally, some international experience would be advantageous, as will managing stakeholders across various time zones.
