We are delighted to bring to market a rarely available opportunity to join the resort as their Head of HR, where you will be the main point of contact for all departments for all HR queries, and to work alongside those departments to provide a value-added service.
You will be responsible for managing the HR function and department to enable the company to make best use of its employee’s skills and experience through the development and implementation of policies, procedures and training programs, that ensure compliance with legislation and that are designed to meet the business’ needs.
This will include:
- Proactive identification of areas where HR can add value to the business’ operations through an understanding of its drivers and needs
- Providing advice to managers on all employee relations matters including disciplinary and grievance, performance and capability, absence, recruitment, selection, redundancy, contractual matters and other HR policy and practice as appropriate
- Developing and updating policies/procedures to ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practice
- Supporting the payroll process, Responsible and accountable for all Time & Attendance administration (incl. checking of hours, ensuing all holidays, absence sickness are entered correctly, that contracted hours are worked and shifts accurately reflect the clocking in times.
- Drive positive employee relations promoting employee involvement
- Identify training and development needs of staff throughout the organisation using a variety of methods including training needs analysis, recruitment and induction processes, probation reviews and annual performance evaluations.
- Work with managers to develop and implement effective training materials. Coaching and mentoring them in successful implementation of said programs and challenging the status quo for the benefit of the Club
- Commission and oversee delivery of training courses.
- Maintain training records for all employees.
- Responsible for cultivating and supporting mental health and wellness.
We are seeking applications from candidates with previous HR Management experience, ideally from a hospitality background, albeit other industry knowledge would be considered. The successful candidate will be adept at leading from the top, demonstrating engagement and support across all levels. They must align closely with the companies’ values and culture, focusing on innovative recruitment, employee relations, and ensuring compliance with legislation. This role would also have operational elements such as developing and delivering training programs, managing health and safety, and ensuring efficient HR operations. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a commitment to fostering a positive workplace environment are essential.
