We are delighted to exclusively bring to the Scottish market, an opportunity for an experienced Head of Talent to help shape and influence Recruitment, Talent Development and Learning & Development, driving forward efficiency and productivity.
Recruitment
- Lead a diverse recruitment team with varying levels of experience and tenure, fostering a cohesive and effective team environment
- Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a fast paced turnaround
- Ensure compliance with recruitment policies and procedures, ensuring a first-class candidate experience throughout the process
- Develop and implement innovative attraction methods beyond traditional job boards, leveraging social media and other digital platforms to attract top talent
- Create and implement metrics to measure recruitment performance, analyse cost to hire, time to hire and other key recruitment metrics to enable you to report at board level, providing actionable insights
- Optimise the utilisation of existing recruitment systems and tools, conducting a thorough review of the current systems effectiveness and areas for improvement
- Develop strategies to enhance the employer brand and EVP, implement and monitor branding initiatives for effectiveness
- Support and participate in DEI initiatives, focusing on inclusive recruitment practices, monitoring and reviewing the impact of changes in recruitment processes aimed at reducing unconscious bias
- Collect and analyse data to evaluate the effectiveness and propose data driven adjustments to improve DEI outcomes
Talent Development
- Direct line management of the Talent Management Specialist, working closely with to evaluate current Talent Management systems & processes, recommending improvements and streamlining activities
- Develop and maintain a robust succession planning framework, ensuring key positions and potential successors are identified, creating development plans for high potential employees
- Ensure optimal utilisation of skills and resources through employee redeployment
- Work towards developing clear and attainable career paths and business objectives for employees at all levels
- Implement best practices for performance appraisals, training Managers on delivering feedback and setting performance goals
- Utilise data and analytics to form talent management strategies, tracking and reporting on key talent metrics and outcomes and making data driven recommendations
Learning & Development
- Support in implementing and leading on various L&D methodologies and frameworks alongside the L&D Specialist
- Oversee the existing e-Learning platform, manage relationships with external vendors and partners
- Ensure the platforms content is up to date, relevant and engaging, including developing and adding custom content, leveraging internal and external resources
- Assist with the development and implementation of a core skills training programme for new hires and existing employees
- Monitor and demonstrate the fulfilment of training and development goals
- Introduce Leadership Development programmes to ensure that future leaders within the business are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge
- Work to establish mentoring programmes to foster professional growth and development
We are seeking a versatile Head of Talent with a background that encompasses leading a recruitment team, supporting talent management initiatives, and overseeing and guiding the L&D function. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in driving a high-volume recruitment team with a focus on innovative sourcing and attraction methods as well as a strong understanding of employer branding and DEI initiatives.
You will have the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders, have strong analytics skills and experience with data driven decision making and be able to bring innovative solutions, a proactive attitude, and a passion for making impactful changes within the organisation.
