Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be partnering our client, a leading and innovative technology solutions specialist, to recruit a Head of Tax in this pivotal role that will form part of the senior management team for the International group.
The role will form part of a entrepreneurial senior leadership team that will report directly to the CFO, with a focus on driving key tax control and process improvements, projects, advisory and acquisitions.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Manage direct and indirect tax compliance for this international business, manage the relationships with the outsourced compliance providers and ensure timely delivery of all filing and payment obligations
- Manage the Group Transfer Pricing Policy - calculation of TP charges, inter-company invoicing, prepare TP documentation and managing TP queries from Tax Authorities
- Manage withholding tax risks on cross-border transactions - work with partners/stakeholders and customers to mitigate risks
- Manage and process the Group's global R&D claims - work with key stakeholders across the business gathering key source information, gather supporting evidence and identify potential process improvements
- Manage relationships with Tax Authorities globally
- Work with external advisors when required on support on complex technical issues
- Manage any tax queries/issues from the Private Equity structure e.g., corporate interest restriction rules, withholding tax interest or issuance of equity etc.
- Manage the Treasury Manager, providing support to manage cash by location, minimise cost and interest etc.
- Identify process improvement/automation initiatives across both Tax and Treasury functions
- Work closely with the CFO on funding, bank relationships, FX exposure etc.
This is an exciting time to be joining this business, with significant growth forecast over the next 2-3 years, new acquisitions, new locations and infrastructure projects. The role is going to grow with requirement to recruit within this team, but equally the opportunity to grow in the business and take on more responsibility within the senior leadership of the business.
You will have a minimum of 2 years experience of working in an in-house taxation function, additionally have experience of managing and leading people. The ability to be entrepreneurial with sound business operational awareness, will be advantageous. Effective and meaningful communication to partner with key stakeholders internally and externally. Some exposure to Treasury could be helpful.
