I’m supporting a well‑established organisation to appoint an HR Advisor on a 3‑month fixed‑term contract. It’s a varied, hands‑on generalist role that would suit someone who enjoys being a practical, supportive point of contact for managers and employees while keeping day‑to‑day HR delivery running smoothly.
The role includes:
• Providing first-line advice on employee relations matters
• Supporting absence reviews, performance discussions and flexible working requests
• Leading or assisting with interviews, return‑to‑work meetings and onboarding activity
• Working closely with managers to ensure consistent application of HR policies
• General HR operations, recordkeeping and helping the team with priority tasks
About you:
• Confident handling day‑to‑day ER issues with a balanced, pragmatic approach
• Good understanding of UK employment law and how to apply it in practice
• Comfortable adapting your communication style across different teams and stakeholders
• Organised, proactive, and able to pick things up quickly with minimal supervision
• Available to start at short notice and happy with a hybrid working patternam
