I’m supporting a valued client to recruit an experienced HR Advisor who can bring confidence, pace and sound judgment to a busy, people‑focused environment. This HR Advisor position is ideal for someone who thrives in a varied generalist role, enjoys autonomy, and is comfortable navigating the natural “grey areas” that come with a family‑run business.
About the HR Advisor Role
The HR Advisor will be central to the smooth running of the HR function, combining hands‑on operational HR with strong communication, decision‑making and relationship‑building.
Key Responsibilities (HR Advisor Duties)

Lead on ER casework and manage challenging conversations confidently as the HR Advisor.

Make proactive, informed decisions without continual prompting.

Use data effectively — spreadsheets, payroll impacts, benefits and salary sacrifice.

Coordinate health & safety training and support H&S investigations.

Produce high‑quality written communication for letters, internal updates and wider HR comms.
What We’re Looking For in a HR Advisor

Strong HR generalist experience at HR Advisor level or ready to step up.

Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to adapt tone.

Confident with data, spreadsheets, salary sacrifice, private medical and BIK.

Comfortable handling ambiguity within a family‑run culture.

Proactive, detail‑driven, and able to anticipate next steps independently.
