HR Advisor

Iconic Resourcing HR are delighted to be working with a large, family-owned organisation in Stirling who are looking to add a HR Advisor to their team on a permanent, full time basis. Reporting to the Head of HR, the HR Advisor will deliver efficient employee relations support, ensuring the successful implementation of the agreed HR strategy and offering proactive, business-oriented HR guidance and assistance. They will also be responsible for effectively managing employee relations cases across the business.
The key responsibilities associated with this role include:
- Provide effective HR services to assigned business areas, assisting People Leaders with policy implementation and best practices in people management.
- Collaborate closely with business leaders and managers to monitor HR practices, ensure compliance, and offer professional advice.
- Lead case management for complex attendance issues, performance management, grievances, restructures, redundancies, and post evaluations.
- Ensure consistency and compliance in case management.
- Assist Group HR in developing and updating HR policies and Employee Handbooks as needed.
- Support People Leaders in handling sensitive and confidential issues, such as attendance reviews, performance management, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
- Manage requests related to maternity, paternity, adoption, and flexible working.
- Produce operational reports on topics like employee engagement, sickness absence, turnover, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Stay updated on employment practices and laws to provide proactive advice.
- Assist with HR projects as assigned by the Head of HR.
- Utilise the People Platform effectively, ensuring accurate data entry and promoting its use within the organisation.
- Create training materials and guidance documents for end users of the People Platform, in collaboration with the HR System Team.
- Provide support for system upgrades and testing.
We are looking to speak to candidates who possess:
- Generalist HR experience with a focus on ER casework.
- Chartered or Graduate membership of the CIPD or relevant HRM qualification.
- Commercial awareness.
- Planning/prioritising and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiating and mediation skills.
- Ability to cope under pressure.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
