Iconic Resourcing HR are excited to be working exclusively with MDDUS to recruit a part time HR and Employment Law Advisor to join their small but busy team! An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic HR professional to provide best practice advice and assistance on Human Resource and Employment Law matters to members in accordance with membership entitlements and MDDUS policies and procedures. Salary for this is role is £30,000 FTE plus benefits and includes Hybrid working.
The Role
Day to day you will provide advice over the telephone on HR and employment law matters to MDDUS members in line with their requirements and within the agreed membership entitlements. In addition to, providing written advice and assistance on HR and employment law matters across all UK jurisdictions in accordance with membership entitlements and MDDUS policies and procedures, including the MDDUS’ membership agreement, according to the competency framework.
You will instruct and liaise with appropriate internal and external legal and other professional services as required. As well as authorising the settlement of cases as per MDDUS scheme of delegation.
Advise on effective mediation and dispute resolution to members, promoting good employment practices within our membership and suggest pragmatic solutions with varying degrees of risk to the member.
You will also draft Settlement Agreements for members to facilitate termination of employment in return for the waiver of their employment rights. As well as creating HR guides for publication to members and delivering HR training sessions to internal and external audiences.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking to speak to candidates that have a minimum Level 3 CIPD qualification or equivalent advisory experience and a strong understanding of current Employment Legislation. You will have experience of delivering effective HR case management support to managers with varying knowledge of HR/employment law.
You will also have experience of drafting, reviewing, and implementing HR best practice and processes. Applicants with knowledge of NHS primary and secondary healthcare systems, experience in mediation dispute resolution, and designing and delivering HR training would be advantageous.
