FTC 8 months / Hybrid with 4 days in office / Full time (open to 4 days)
I’m working exclusively with a well-regarded organisation in Edinburgh to recruit an HR Assistant on an initial 8‑month fixed term contract, covering an internal secondment.
This is a hands-on, operational HR role in a busy, people-focused environment. It will suit someone who enjoys being at the heart of the HR function and delivering a high-quality employee experience.
Key duties include
• Supporting end-to-end recruitment activity, including interviews and right to work checks
• Coordinating onboarding and ensuring a smooth new starter experience
• Managing the HR inbox and responding to first-line HR queries
• Maintaining accurate HR systems, data, and reports
• Assisting with payroll inputs, benefits administration, and HR documentation
To be considered, you’ll need
• Experience in an HR Assistant or HR Administration role
• A solid understanding of HR processes and UK employment legislation
• Strong attention to detail and confidence working with HR systems
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• A proactive, service-led approach with clear and confident communication
