HR Business Partner | Renfrewshire
£40,000–£47,000 dependant on experience
Full-time | Permanent
On-site/Operational environment
A hands-on HRBP opportunity at a pivotal point of change. We’re working with an operationally focused organisation in Renfrewshire to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner to join their established People team. With the business navigating a period of transformation, this is an exciting time to join, offering the opportunity to work closely with leaders across the organisation, influence people decisions and contribute to wider HR and business projects.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you’ll take ownership of a broad generalist remit, acting as a trusted HR partner to your stakeholders. This is an opportunity to step into a broad HRBP role where you’ll work closely with departmental and functional leaders, providing pragmatic, commercially aware HR support across a varied workforce.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing credible, pragmatic advice across the full employee lifecycle
- Managing and advising on complex employee relations, including absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance matters
- Coaching and challenging managers to build their confidence and capability in people management
- Supporting recruitment and selection activity, partnering with managers and external suppliers where required
- Contributing to the development, implementation and review of HR policies and procedures
- Supporting and leading HR projects aligned to wider organisational priorities
- Using workforce data and management information to identify trends and support decision-making
- Supporting reward and benchmarking activity to ensure fair and competitive pay
- Contributing to manager training and development
- Building strong relationships across the organisation and providing a responsive, customer focused HR service
We’re looking for an experienced HR Generalist/HR Business Partner, ideally with a background in manufacturing, engineering or another complex operational environment, who enjoys being close to the operation and isn’t afraid to get stuck into the detail. You’ll have experience partnering with managers and senior stakeholders across a varied workforce, with the confidence to coach, influence and constructively challenge where required.
You’ll be proactive, curious and comfortable working autonomously, taking ownership and using your initiative to find solutions. At the same time, this is very much a team environment, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with colleagues, sharing knowledge and contributing wherever needed.
