HR Coordinator – Interim

£24,715 – £28,131 dependant on experience
Iconic Resourcing HR are working with a well-known higher education organisation to recruit a HR Coordinator to join them on a 4-month basis. Working in close collaboration with Recruitment and Payroll divisions the HR Coordinator will provide high level senior administrative support though all aspects of the employee journey and ongoing operational projects and initiatives and will work closely with the wider operations team to support case management and change management activities.
The ideal candidate:
- Experience in a similar HR Administration role.
- Competency in the use of Microsoft suite including Excel.
- A flexible and professional approach to work, with the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive personal data.
- Demonstrable professional approach with the ability to work quickly, flexibly, and accurately in a dynamic, changing, and pressured environment.
- Good written and oral communication skills, with ability to interact with a range of stakeholders at all levels.
- The ability to convey information to a ‘non-technical’ audience concisely.
- Accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
- Experience of working with Oracle HR systems and ability to troubleshoot or find workarounds is desirable.
On a day-to-day duties:
- Act as the first point of contact for all HR related queries from the public, employees and line managers over the telephone, by email and face-to-face.
- Draft and issue contracts for permanent and temporary staff using existing templates.
- Ensure all relevant pay and contract data is entered into the Cloud ERP Information System in line with Payroll requirements and deadlines and is accurate and up to date.
- Calculate and advise on family leave entitlement (maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental etc.)
- Monitor contract end dates and support HR colleagues in issuing changes to terms and conditions using existing templates.
- Provide advice and guidance on contractual queries, including annual leave entitlement, sickness absence etc.
- Work with the whole HR Operations team to ensure processes are well documented and understood to help improve the efficacy of the whole team.
