HR Generalist (Advisor/Business Partner)

We’re currently looking for an experienced HR Generalist / HR Advisor / HR Business Partner to join a leading manufacturing organisation on a short-term contract. This role is ideal for someone who is immediately available and confident handling complex employee relations (ER) casework and engaging effectively with trade unions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Acting as the first point of contact for managers on ER matters, including performance, absence, grievance, and disciplinary cases.
- Building trusted relationships with employees, managers, and union representatives.
- Providing clear, pragmatic advice aligned with employment law and company policy.
- Supporting the HR Director and site leadership team to maintain a positive, compliant working environment.
What we’re looking for:
- Solid operational HR experience in a fast-paced environment (manufacturing or similar preferred).
- Strong knowledge of employment law and confidence managing ER cases end-to-end.
- Experience of working with trade unions.
- A pragmatic, hands-on HR professional who can quickly add value.
