We are recruiting an experienced HR Manager to play a pivotal operational role within a growing People function. This is a hands‑on position for someone who thrives on balancing day‑to‑day HR activity with short‑term forward planning, all while supporting a busy HR team and a diverse workforce across multiple locations.
The role:

Lead and support HR team providing guidance, oversight, and day‑to‑day direction.

Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contract changes, payroll‑related actions and HR systems administration.

Work in partnership with stakeholders across the organisation to improve HR practices and streamline processes and embed consistent ways of working.

Act as the organisation’s employee relations specialist, offering confident, practical advice on performance, conduct, absence, wellbeing and other ER matters.

Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contract changes, payroll‑related actions and HR systems administration.
What we are looking for:
Essential:
-
Significant operational HR experience, including complex ER casework.
-
Demonstrated ability to support, guide or develop team members.
-
Strong knowledge of UK employment law.

Solid understanding of HR systems, processes and the employee lifecycle.

A practical, “get‑things‑done” approach—able to prioritise, simplify and deliver.

Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills.
Desirable:
-
Experience managing or coordinating multiple HR projects.

Exposure to payroll processes.
-
Current driving licence and willingness to travel across multiple sites.
