Iconic Resourcing HR are working with one of Scotland's largest independent development and construction groups to recruit an HR Manager to join and lead their small but busy team.
Reporting to the Head of HR, the HR Manager will lead the provision of HR and Learning & Development support across the business which will include having line management responsible for an HR Advisor, Learning & Development Advisor and HR Administrator, ensuring the team is appropriately resourced, structured, and developed to meet the ongoing HR needs of the business.
You will work with key stakeholders to identify HR and L&D priorities and agree how these will best be delivered, provide clear guidance, advice, and direction to the business on HR matters, including changes to legislation, emerging best practice, and areas of potential risk as well as utilise technology to the fullest to streamline HR processes & generate meaningful HR metrics.
Alongside this, you will build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, utilising the outputs from employee surveys and Investors in People assessments to drive employee engagement activities, supporting L&D activities including the PDR process and succession planning activities and work closely with the L&D Advisor to create bespoke management training courses for newly promoted managers.
We are seeking applications from HR professionals who have experience of operating at a similar level, with previous and/or current line management experience. You will ideally come from a construction or engineering background however this is not essential. As well as this, you will have a working knowledge of current UK employment law, strong recruitment experience, excellent stakeholder management skills and ideally a keen interest in learning & development.
You will be MCIPD (preferred), have experience in using an HR Information System across the full employee lifecycle coupled with strong IT skills, specifically MS Office packages. Any experience in developing SharePoint content would also be looked upon favourably.
