Iconic Resourcing HR are working with a professional services organisation with headquarters based in the heart of Edinburgh City Centre and who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to join the management team and who will oversee HR for the entire business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a generalist HR practitioner to continue to develop and deliver on our HR strategy whilst covering an advisory case load. This is a wide-ranging role, responsible for everything from recruitment to training, performance, employee relations to policy development. It will suit an energetic individual who enjoys the demands of a professional environment with a strong emphasis on quality. You should be self-motivated and will be expected to initiate projects that will benefit the business.
The HR Manager will have line management responsibilities for an HR & Resourcing Associate and day to day will be involved in supporting the partnership with development and delivery of the HR strategy, delivering and implementing people projects, upskilling the management teams in HR matters to sustain good employee relations and providing HR coaching / advice on absence, conduct and performance matters. Where applicable, you will also provide HR support for formal meetings, e.g., disciplinary/grievance.
You will also issue regular partner reports on areas of HR and compliance, compile, review and notify payroll of monthly adjustments out with normal salary procedures i.e., benefits, absence, onboarding, adhoc adjustments and monitoring the impact of HR initiatives on KPI’s such as turnover, promotions, sickness absence and recruitment spend. Alongside this, you will ensure cost-effective, best practice recruitment initiatives are in place, manage the recruitment agency (PSL) suppliers and oversee recruitment coordination and support with reward advice and benchmarking, e.g., bonus scheme, annual salary review.
The successful candidate will be an experienced HR professional who can manage HR matters from an operational perspective but still be able to deliver on strategic aspects. You will have line management experience and have a desire to coach, mentor and develop your team. Knowledge of complex employee relations cases and any training, delivery and design experience would be beneficial.
